A prep checklist tells clients how to get ready for their tattoo. It covers sleep, food, hydration, clothing, and what to avoid beforehand. Sending it ahead means clients arrive prepared, which makes the session smoother for everyone.
Sleep well, eat within a couple of hours, and stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and don’t come under the influence. Wear clothing that gives easy access to the area, keep the skin clean, and avoid sunburn. Bring your ID.
Email it about a week before the appointment, then send a short reminder 24 hours out with the key points. Customize it with your address, parking details, and shop policies so everything a client needs is in one place.
Apprentice sends prep links before appointments: consent, deposit, and instructions in one flow. Clients arrive ready. You just tattoo.
