What about processing fees?

When clients pay through Apprentice, there's a small processing fee: Stripe's standard 2.9% + $0.30, plus Apprentice's 2% platform fee. You decide who covers it.

What's included in the free plan?

The free plan includes your public booking page, up to 50 clients, 50 AI generations per month, calendar sync, automatic reminders, flash gallery, and payment tracking. Everything you need to get started.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. You can start using Apprentice for free without entering any payment information. We only ask for payment details when you upgrade to a paid plan.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately. If you downgrade, it takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

What happens when my trial ends?

After your 14-day trial, you'll be moved to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe. You won't lose any data — you'll just have the free plan limits until you upgrade.

How does adding additional artists work?

On the Studio Pro plan, you get 3 artist accounts included. Need more? Each additional artist is $25/month. They get their own login, their own clients, and their own booking page — all managed from your shop dashboard.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe. For annual plans, you can also pay via bank transfer — contact us to set that up.

Can I use Apprentice for multiple shops?

Yes. Each shop needs its own Studio Pro subscription. Contact us if you're managing multiple locations — we offer volume discounts for 3+ shops.

Can I switch from an Artist plan to a Shop plan?

Absolutely. Contact support and we'll help migrate your account. Your client data and booking history will transfer over.

What happens to my data if I downgrade?

Your data is never deleted. If you exceed the limits of your new plan (like having more than 50 clients on Free), you'll still see all your data — you just won't be able to add new clients until you're under the limit or upgrade again.

Do you offer refunds?

We offer a full refund within the first 30 days if you're not happy. After that, we don't offer partial refunds, but you can cancel anytime to prevent future charges.

We can help you move over. Most artists are up and running in under an hour. Contact support and we'll walk you through the migration.

Who pays the processing fee?

You choose. By default, the processing fee (Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 plus Apprentice's 2% platform fee) is added on top of your quoted price — so your client covers it and you keep 100%. If you'd rather show your client one clean number, you can absorb the fee instead. You can switch between the two anytime in your Apprentice settings.
